    Interviews for admission to the Master Degree Course in Astrophysics and Space Physics - September 20th 2023 – 10 am Milan time (CEST)

  • Admission requirements

    Bachelor Degree (minimum 3 years) from an accredited college/university including at least 18 ECTS in mathematics and 18 ECTS in physics. If necessary, the admission committee will evaluate the equivalency of ECTS between different universities. 
    A basic knowledge of Quantum Mechanics (see document below) is required for the admission and can be demonstrated by presence of a (introductory) quantum mechanics course in the candidate’s transcript of records. In absence of such record, the required basic knowledge in quantum mechanics will be briefly evaluated during the interview through oral questions on the topics listed in the document below. 

    B2 level knowledge of the English language is required for admission to the Master’s Degree in Astrophysics and space physics, all candidates must upload on the Management of qualifications and documents for evaluation page one of the following alternatives:

    - Only for students with an Italian Degree: a self-certification (using the form “Personal Sworn Declaration of University enrolment, qualifications, exams”

    - the Bbetween English B2 Open Badge (or higher levels) awarded by the University of Milano-Bicocca;
    - a declaration of the University of origin certifying that the attended degree programme is entirely or almost entirely offered in English.

    Applicants who do not possess a B2 level English language certificate may ask to take the test offered by the University of Milano-Bicocca Language Office, by filling in and uploading the request formOpen this document with ReadSpeaker docReader instead of an English certificate.
    In any case the required language level must be certified by the deadline for submitting the application.


  • Windows for admission A.Y. 2023-2024

    The interviews for the admission to the Master Degree in Astrophysics and Space Physics are divided in two windows.

    For foreign applicants and residents living beyond 100 km distance from the University of Milano-Bicocca the interview may be taken online by request.

    First window
    The first application period is planned only for students who have already graduated or will graduate by December 22rd 2023.

    From April 3rd to April 13th 2023

    April 20th 2023 - 10:00 a.m.

    From April 14th to June 14th 2023

    June 21st 2023 - 10:00 a.m.

    From June 22nd to September 13th 2023

    September 20th 2023 - 10:00 a.m.


    Enrollment will be possible starting from the day after the list of admitted candidates is published.
    Students must enrol by October 27th 2023 following the required procedures, they will be able to take exams only after completing enrolment.

    Please note: Graduand students expecting to achieve the academic qualification by December 22nd 2023 must enrol by October 27th 2023. Their new academic career will only be effective after graduation.

    Second window
    This second selection is planned only for Italian, European or extra UE citizens legally residing in Italy, who have already graduated or will graduate by February 29th, 2024.

    From January 9th to January 26th 2024

    February 8th 2024 - 9:30 a.m.


    Enrollment will be possible starting from the day after the admitted candidates list is published.
    Students must enrol by March 8th 2024 following the required procedures and will be able to take exams only after completing enrolment.
    Graduand students’ career will be activated after graduation.

    Please note: Candidates enrolling during the second application period (January-March 2024) have to pay the fees of the whole academic year.
