Dear AEPS students,

Prof. Emanuele Preti will hold a 4-hour Ethics training seminar on Thursday 27th, from 8:30 to 12:30 in Room U9-05, during his course Experimental Clinical Psychology and Principles of Ethics. You can find all details below.

The seminar is primarily intended for first-year students enrolled in Prof. Preti’s course. However, attendance is especially important for second-year students, as the seminar is specifically designed to help you prepare for the Practical Evaluation Test (Prova Pratica Valutativa – PPV).
For this reason, all AEPS students are warmly invited to participate.

Please let us know whether you will attend by filling out the form below:

The Code of Ethics of Italian Psychologists

Roberta Cacioppo

November 27th 2025, 8.30-12.30, Room U9/05

Abstract

This training session introduces psychology students to the practical application of professional
ethics, with a particular focus on preparing for the Practical Evaluation Test (PPV). After outlining
why ethics is central to psychological practice, the session explores the core principles of the
Ethical Code — such as dignity, autonomy, responsibility, competence, and confidentiality — and
how they guide everyday professional decisions. Students will analyze applied case examples to
learn how to interpret ethical dilemmas and choose appropriate actions. The training also provides
an overview of disciplinary procedures. Through case-based activities and guided discussion,
students will strengthen their ethical reasoning and ability to justify decisions in practice.
