Dear students of the Text Mining & Search course,

I am pleased to publicize the following initiative, for those who may be interested (if interested, please write me an e-mail to communicate your participation):

BIPAC is promoting the BIPAC Cultural Hack Lab Hackathon, an initiative aimed at students, PhD candidates, post-docs, research fellows, and RTDA researchers, dedicated to generating interdisciplinary project ideas in the fields of cultural heritage studies, enhancement, and innovation.

The BIPAC Cultural Hack Lab is a collaborative design experience that aims to foster dialogue between the humanities, scientific, and technological fields, encouraging the development of new research concepts and approaches to the enhancement of cultural heritage.

Participation does not require prior registration.

📍 Hackathon presentation and kickoff
🗓 February 10, 2026
🕑 2:00 PM
📌 Corridoio delle Scienze, Building U3-U4

Participants are expected to attend directly on the indicated day and at the specified location, where the structure of the Hackathon will be explained and interdisciplinary team activities will begin. The event also represents a concrete opportunity to create interdepartmental working groups, promoting collaboration among participants from different areas and units of the University. Team composition will be designed to encourage cross-fertilization of skills and synergies between departments, with the aim of developing shared and innovative projects. Throughout the event, teams will be supported by mentors and experts who will assist in the development of project ideas and their final elaboration.

Two prizes of €3,000 each will be awarded to the best project proposals, according to the criteria set out in the official regulations, and will support the implementation of the selected projects.

The full regulations of the BIPAC Hackathon are available on the official website:
