obiettivo della clerkship è l'acquisizione delle competenze pratiche relative alla diagnostica, alla clinica e al trattamento dell'apparato locomotore 

Praticantato (“clerkship”) clinico, con frequentazione delle specialità chirurgiche, medici di famiglia e pronto soccorso in piccoli gruppi (circa massimo 10 studenti):

PBL/CBL

Esercitazioni pratiche con manichini o tra studenti/insegnanti

Frequentazione delle attività cliniche

dipende dalle attività clinica svolte nei diversi reparti coinvolti 

frequenza del corso Vertical Track Locomotor

osservazione guidata e supervisionata con briefing iniziale e debriefing finale 

fare riferimento al programma del VT Locomotor

primo semestre

Prove in itinere dopo ciascun PBL/PCL (restituzione del PBL):

  • saggio breve (eventualmente anche in gruppo)
  • Esercizi pratici (su pazienti e/o studenti)
  • Elaborati in relazione a problemi affrontati con PBL/PCL
  • Quiz a scelta multipla

    Test finale del blocco verticale apparato locomotore:
  • Quiz a scelta multipla
  • Esercizi pratici (su pazienti e/o studenti)
  • Raccolta degli elaborati in itinere
L’apprendimento di competenze cliniche è verificato tramite test teorico/pratici chiamati OSCE (“esame clinico obiettivo strutturato”). In ciascun OSCE lo studente viene confrontato con una situazione clinica nella quale si richiede di eseguire una o più attività cliniche (p.e. raccolta anamnesi, esame obiettivo, test semeiologici, capacità di comunicazione, interpretazione di dati strumentali, decisioni cliniche). Ogni studente riceve di volta in volta un riscontro del risultato ottenuto e del punteggio totale dei vari OSCE sostenuti.

the goal of clerkship is the acquisition of practical skills related to diagnostics and to the clinic and to the treatment of the musculoskeletal system

Clerkship program, with rotation in small groups (about max 10 students) in surgical specialties, general practitioner and in the emergency department:

  1. PBL / CBL
  • Practice sessions with puppets or among students/teachers
  • Attending clinical wards

depending on the routine clinical activities in the hospital ward

Vertical track Locomotor attendance

tutored clinical observation, with briefing an debriefing

Ongoing tests after each PBL/PCL (PBL-restitution):

  • Short essay (eventually also in groups)
  • Practical tests/maneuvers
  • Short paper/composition in relation to problems treated with PBL/PCL
  • Multiple choice tests

    Final locomotor vertical track test:
  • Multiple choice tests
  • Practical tests/maneuvers
  • Collection of the single short papers/compositions
Development of clinical skills is assessed by OSCE (Objective structured clinical examination). Each OSCE faces the student with a unique clinical case which will test particular skills such as history-taking, physical examination, practical tests/maneuvers, communication skills, test/data interpretation, medical decision-making. Each student receives feedback from the assessor as well as overall scores for each OSCE.
