Aims
To introduce the students to the understanding and practice of basic and advanced technical approaches for the evaluation of tissue and organ morphology.
Contents
Understanding and practice of:
Main histological tecniques
Instruments, reagents and materials needed for an histological analysis
Confocal microscopy
Electron microscopy
Live imaging for tissue colture
Detailed program
Theorical and practical approaches to:
- Principles of light microscopy
- Principles of electron microscopy
- Principles of confocal microscopy
- Preparation of biological samples for immunohistochemistry, immunofluorescence, histological analisys
- Cell colture- Preparation of cells for live imaging
Prerequisites
To attend to the Histology class and the clerkship 2 of histology
Teaching form
Frontal introductive lessons, practical activity in the histology laboratory. Lessons in attendance, subject to any ministerial changes following the COVID pandemic situation.
