Obiettivi
Lo/a studente, al termine del corso, conoscerà le modalità per:
- porre un quesito di ricerca e reperire, comprendere e analizzare criticamente la letteratura scientifica
- raccogliere, ordinare ed analizzare i dati provenienti dalla realtà professionale.
Contenuti sintetici
Il corso fornisce fondamenti della ricerca nella midwifery. Fornisce inoltre le nozioni di base sulla raccolta e l’elaborazione statistica di dati sanitari.
Programma esteso
MED 47 RICERCA OSTETRICO-GINECOLOGICA E NEONATALE: La ricerca bibliografica e le modalità di citazione dei riferimenti bibliografici. Le differenze tra ricerca quantitativa e qualitativa. I vari disegni di studio. La valutazione critica di un articolo scientifico. La pianificazione di una ricerca. La metodologia PICO. Il Comitato Etico. La diffusione delle conoscenze.
MED 01 STATISTICA PER LA RICERCA: La raccolta, la misurazione e l’analisi dei dati. Cenni di calcolo delle probabilità. La distrubuzione Gaussiana. Il campionamento e l’inferenza statistica. By the end of the course, the student will know:
- how to make a search query and how to find, to understand and to analyze critically scientific literature
- how to collect, to order and to analyze data from professional context.
Contents
The course provides fundamentals of midwifery research process.
It also provides basic knowledges about health data collection and analisys.
Detailed program
MED 47 MIDWIFERY RESEARCH: The bibliographic research and how to quote references. Differences between quantitative and qualitative research. Various types of study designs. Critical evaluation of a scientific paper. Planning a scientific research. The PICO method. The Ethics Committee. Spread of knowledge.
MED 01 STATISTICS FOR RESEARCH: Collecting, measuring and analyzing data. Hints of probability assessment. The Gaussian distribution. Sampling and statistical inference. Introduction to evaluation and hypothesis testing. Drafting a questionnaire. Building up a database.
