Il corso deve contribuire al raggiungimento dei seguenti obiettivi:
a) individuare e diagnosticare gli specifici Disturbi Mentali a partire dalla teoria eziopatogenetica biopsicosociale
b) comprendere il significato e l’importanza delle più diverse terapie utili alla cura del paziente affetto da Disturbo Mentale a partire dalle conoscenze derivanti dalla medicina basata sulle evidenze
c) individuare la complessità della relazione con il paziente affetto da Disturbo Mentale
d) comprendere l’importanza ed utilizzare le informazioni relative al contesto psicosociale nell’ambito della cura e della riabilitazione del paziente affetto da Disturbo Mentale

Il Corso fornisce allo studente le conoscenze teoriche essenziali riferibili alle Scienze del Comportamento. Permette l’acquisizione e l’approfondimento delle interrelazioni tra alcuni contenuti della psicopatologia e della clinica psichiatrica nella dimensione della complessità e dell’integrazione tra funzioni del SNC e ambiente. Tale percorso conoscitivo è finalizzato alla comprensione delle più importanti e delle più diverse manifestazioni psicopatologiche presenti in ambito psichiatrico, sia riguardo agli stati di salute che di franca malattia, con particolare attenzione alla interdisciplinarietà tra Medicina, Scienze del Comportamento e Sociologia, sempre in un’ottica di medicina basata sulle evidenze e medicina di genere.

  1. Introduzione ai concetti di salute psichica, psicopatologia e controllo sociale dei disturbi mentali nella società contemporanea
  2. Evoluzione storica dei concetti di normalità e patologia nell’ambito della salute mentale
  3. Evoluzione storica dei modelli terapeutici in psichiatria e dell’organizzazione dell’assistenza psichiatrica
  4. Legislazione in ambito psichiatrico e dei Disturbi correlati all’uso di sostanze
  5. Epidemiologia generale e specifica in ambito psichiatrico
  6. Nosografia psichiatrica: “misurare” i disturbi mentali con gli attuali sistemi di classificazione diagnostica dei disturbi mentali (DSM-5 e ICD-10)
  7. I Disturbi Mentali. Diagnosi, clinica e trattamento dei:
    7.1. Disturbi correlati a sostanze e Disturbi da addiction
    7.2. Disturbi d’Ansia

The Course aims to reach the following goals:
a) the identification and diagnosis of specific mental disorders starting from the biopsychosocial etiopathogenetic models
b) understanding meaning and relevance of the most useful therapies to the care and cure the patient suffering from mental disorder, starting from the knowledge deriving from the EBM approach
c) characterize the complexity of the relationship with the patient suffering from mental disorder
d) the understanding of the importance and the application of the informations deriving from the psychosocial context in the caring, cure and rehab of a patient suffering from mental disorder

The Course provides the student with the essential theoretical knowledge related to Behavioural Sciences.
The Course allows the student to learn about, and further develop, the interrelationships between a few contents of psychopathology and clinical psychiatry in the dimension of the complexity and the integration between CNS functions and the social framework. This cognitive route is aimed at understanding of the most important and various psychopathological and clinical conditions about both health and real illness, with particular attention to inter-disciplinary approach between Medical, Behavioural and Sociological Sciences always deriving from EBM and gender-related medicine.

  1. Introduction to the concepts of mental health, psychopathology and social control of mental disorders in the contemporary society
  2. Historic development of the concepts of normality and illness in the field of mental health
  3. Historic development of the therapeutic models in psychiatry and of the organization and structure of the psychiatric care
  4. Relevant psychiatric and drug addiction legislation
  5. General and specific epidemiology in psychiatry
  6. Diagnostic psychiatry: the coding classification of mental disorders and the role of DSM-5 and ICD-10 classification system
  7. The specific mental disorders: diagnosis, clinical conditions and treatment of:
    7.1 Substance-related and Addictive Disorders
