This unit will expand students’ relational and communication skills by providing practical suggestions and strategies on how to deliver and receive effective and functional feedback and how to manage and negotiate conflicts. Students will be guided to analyse common barriers to effective feedback in work settings, appreciating the importance of cultivating a positive feedback culture, and in exploring strategies to formulate functional feedback and how to use them effectively in practice. In a collaborative learning framework, group discussions and activities will allow students to unfold their communication and relational skills and to develop workgroup management skills aiming to foster group cohesion and activities. Situations and contexts characterised by a high level of stress will be considered.
