Chemistry and Propaedeutic Biochemistry II : Apprendere le conoscenze teorico-pratiche di strumenti ed attività di laboratorio e conoscenze di proteomica a scopi clinici.

Programma esteso

Chemistry and Propaedeutic Biochemistry II : Familiarizzazione con le norme di sicurezza per le attività di laboratorio. Apprendere le attività di base utili per studenti di medicina come: preparare soluzioni, misurare il pH, modificare il pH, preparare tamponi, fare aliquotazioni corrette, diluire. Apprendere le conoscenze di base e l'aspetto pratico dell'identificazione delle proteine e dell'imaging molecolare dei tessuti mediante spettrometria di massa orientata alle applicazioni cliniche

Prerequisiti

Conoscenze di Chimica, biologia e biochimica.

Contents

Chemistry and Propaedeutic Biochemistry II : To learn basic practical laboratory activities useful for medical students, including basic knowledge and practical aspects of clinical proteomics.

Detailed program

Chemistry and Propaedeutic Biochemistry II : To become acquainted with safety rules for laboratory activities. To learn basic activities useful for medical students, such as: prepare solutions, measure the pH, modify the pH, prepare buffers, make correct aliquots and make dilutions. To learn basic knowledge and practical aspects of protein identification strategies and of tissue molecular imaging done by mass spectrometry oriented to clinical applications.

Prerequisites

The attended Chemistry, cell biology and propedeutical biochemistry courses.

Chemistry and Propaedeutic Biochemistry II : Laboratory activity and lectures done during the Clerkship.
