Course Syllabus
Obiettivi
L'internato ha lo scopo di fornire allo studente un'esperienza diretta della gestione di pazienti con problematiche di tipo dermatologico:
- Interpretazione dei segni e dei sintomi delle patologie cutanee
- Comprensione dei procedimenti diagonstici di 2° livello (dermatoscopia, biopsia cutanea, test epicutanei, esame micologico)
- Comprensione degli esami di laboratorio e strumentali
- Acquisizione del percorso diagnostico-terapeutico più appropriato.
Contenuti sintetici
Lo studente affiancherà il medico-tutor durante la sua giornata lavorativa presso la dermatologia, negli ambulatori di primo, secondo livello o presso la sezione di degenza.
Programma esteso
Ogni studente viene assegnato, quotidianamente, in rapporto 1:1, ad uno specialista che fa capo ad un ambulatorio di primo o di secondo livello (dermatologia generale, dermatologia allergologica, dermatologia chirurgia, ambulatorio psoriasi, ambulatorio melanoma, ambulatorio malattie sessualmente trasmesse, ambulatorio malattie autoimmuni, terapia fotodinamica) o presso la sezione di degenza. Durante il periodo di frequenza lo studente frequenterà i diversi ambulatori per avere il quadro più completo possibile della disciplina dermatologica.
Prerequisiti
Basic Clinical Skills course.
E' consigliato che lo studente abbia già superato l'esame Skin and connective tissue disease.
Modalità didattica
Lo studente affiancherà il dermatologo-tutor in un rapporto 1:1 durante le visite nel percorso clinico, diagnostico e terapeutico.
Lo studente frequenterà il reparto di Dermatologia per un totale di 10 ore (da concordare con il tutor). Lo studente affiancherà il dermatologo-tutor durante le visite nel percorso clinico, diagnostico e terapeutico negli ambulatori della SC Dermatologia, ASST Papa Giovanni XXIII, Torre 6, ingresso 47 (stanze da 601-603 e 614-624) o nel reparto di degenza della SC Dermatologia, Torre 2, ingresso 15, piano 3.
Lo studente potrà completare la parte di osservazione guidata con briefing e debriefing da parte del tutor ospedaliero.

Modalità di verifica del profitto e valutazione
Verifica diretta dell'acquisizione delle capacità semeiologiche, del razionale clinico-diagnostico-terapeutico e delle capacità di interazione studente-paziente.
Lo studente dovrà seguire il tirocinio secondo il calendario e gli orari concordati. Il tutor certificherà l'avvenuta frequenza.

Aims
The internship's aim is to provide the student with direct experience of managing patients with dermatological problems:
- Interpretation of signs and symptoms of dermatological conditions
- Understanding of 2nd level diagnostic procedures (dermoscopy, skin biopsy, epicutaneous tests, mycological examination)
- Understanding of laboratory and instrumental investigations
- Acquisition of the most appropriate diagnostic-therapeutic pathway.
Contents
The student will work with the doctor-tutor during his or her working day in the dermatology department, in the first and second level outpatient departments or in the inpatient section.
Detailed program
Each student is assigned, on a daily basis, 1:1 ratio, to a specialist from a first or second level outpatient clinic (general dermatology, allergic dermatology, dermosurgery, psoriasis outpatient clinic, melanoma outpatient clinic, sexually transmitted diseases outpatient clinic, autoimmune diseases outpatient clinic, photodinamic therapy) or in the inpatient section. During the period of attendance, the student will attend the different outpatient clinics in order to get the fullest possible overview of the dermatological discipline.
Prerequisites
Basic Clinical Skills course.
It is recommended that the student has already passed the Skin and connective tissue disease examination.
Teaching form
The student will support the dermatologist-tutor during consultations in the clinical, diagnostic and therapeutic process.
The student will attend the Dermatology Unit for a total of 10 hours (to be agreed with the tutor). The student will accompany the dermatologist-tutor during visits in the clinical, diagnostic and therapeutic pathway in the outpatient departments of the Dermatology Unit, ASST Papa Giovanni XXIII, Tower 6, entrance 47 (rooms 601-603, 614-624) or in the inpatient ward of the Dermatology Unit, Tower 2, entrance 15, floor 3.
The student may complete the guided observation part with briefing and debriefing by the hospital tutor.

Assessment method
Direct verification of the acquisition of semeiological skills, clinical-diagnostic-therapeutic rationale and student-patient interaction skills.
The student must attend the internship according to the agreed schedule and timetable. The tutor will certify attendance.
