The course provides a general overview of some of relevant current debates in social science. Every lecture is focused on a different and specific topic and aims at discussing, from different theoretical perspectives and/or methodological approaches, the main questions scholars are dealing with. Resent research is privileged for discussion. Some lectures are organized as a debate between two scholars presenting different and/or opposite perspectives.
For each lecture, students are invited to read the required reading in advance.
