  • STUDY PLAN - INTRODUCTION

    When enrolling in the first year, students are automatically given the so-called “Statutory Study Plan”, which includes the mandatory educational activities. Later, in agreement with the Programme Regulations of the enrolment year, students have the opportunity to submit their own study plan, in which mandatory multiple-choice courses, foreign language and the educational activities “to be chosen by the student” should be stated.
     
    It is possible to draw up an costumised study plan including educational activities other than those provided for in the Programme Regulations, as long as they are consistent with the “Academic Disciplines” (SSD – Settori Scientifico-Disciplinari) set out in one’s own “Teaching System” (Ordinamento Didattico).
    The Study Plan Committee, appointed by the Educational Coordination Council of the Master's Degree Programme, assesses whether the student’s choices are in keeping with the educational purposes of the MSc Degree Programme.

  • HOW TO SUBMIT THE STUDY PLAN

    • The study plan must be submitted through the Online Student Registry (Segreterie OnLine). After submission, you must confirm the study plan by clicking on the CONFIRM (CONFERMA) button.
      Study plan left in DRAFT form (bozza) are not reviewed.
       
      In agreement with the Teaching Regulations of the own enrolment year, the student has two standard options for the study plan:
      - "TO BE APPROVED" (da approvare): this type of plan, which is "proposed" after confirmation, must be formally reviewed and evaluated by the Study Plan Commission after the submission deadline
      - "PRE-APPROVED" (pre-approvato): this type of plan is automatically approved upon submission and does not require review by the Study Plan Commission
       
      The Student must select the "To be approved" study plan if they wish to include any of the following::

    • The Student may submit a customised study plan via a Google Form to request the replacement of courses from your approved study plan with activities that fall outside the standard Programme Regulations of the MSc Degree Programme.The proposed activities must adhere to two key criteria:
      • they must be consistent with the Academic Disciplines (SSD) set out in one’s own “Teaching System” (Ordinamento Didattico)
      • they must align with the Specific Learning Objectives of the MSc Degree Programme (see Article 2 of the Teaching Regulations).
       
      The customised study plan will be reviewed and evaluated by the Study Plan Commission. Should a request for a costumised study plan be rejected, the Student remains subject to their last approved plan. For this reason, first-year students wishing to submit a customised study plan must first submit a standard plan (either 'Pre-approved' or 'To be approved') via the Online Student Registry (Segreterie OnLine) before completing the Google Form. Unsuccessful applicants may, however, resubmit a proposal during the next available submission window.
      Submitting an initial standard plan in the first window (usually in November) is crucial to be ready for exams, while the next window (usually in March) gives you the time and the opportunity, if you wish, to also finalise specific, non-standard, course choices.
