EIT RawMaterials, in collaboration with Atlantic Copper, has launched the Open Innovation Challenge for Young Talents, aimed at fostering innovative solutions for the recovery of valuable materials within the primary copper smelting process.
This challenge is a chance for young graduates, last year master students and emerging professionals, especially those pursuing or having recently completed master's degrees in fields such as Metallurgy, Chemical Engineering, or any discipline related to the raw material value chain, to apply their knowledge towards advancing sustainability in copper metallurgy.

Who Can Participate: Second-year master students, recent master graduates, especially those specializing in Copper Metallurgy or Technology Validation, with a robust technical background.
Rewards: The winning team will be awarded €500 per member, either as cash or a traveler’s cheque, alongside an all-expenses-paid trip to Atlantic Copper's facilities in Huelva, Spain.
This challenge not only provides a platform for young talents to showcase their innovative ideas but also offers an opportunity for them to make an impression on industry leaders and be considered for future career opportunities within the company.
