Dear Students,
Following several emails I have received, I would like to provide some additional clarifications, complementing what was already explained in the lecture slides.
There is no fixed length for the project report; however, it should be approximately between 5 and 10 pages. There is no mandatory template, and you are free to use any template of your choice (for instance, one available on Overleaf).
As discussed during the lectures, the report should be structured as follows:
- an introduction, describing the problem and the tasks addressed;
- a section describing the datasets used;
- a section describing the text representation models and supervised/unsupervised models adopted for the different tasks;
- an experimental evaluation section, including result tables and, if appropriate, figures or plots.
The results must also be clearly discussed. In the sections related to data, models, and results, all methodological choices must be explicitly motivated.
Regarding the PowerPoint presentation, it must be submitted together with the rest of the project material. However, unlike the other materials, it can be updated until the exam date. Please note that each group will have 12 minutes for the presentation, so the number of slides and their content should be consistent with this time limit. Each group member is required to present a part of the project.
Kind regards,
Marco Viviani
