Obiettivi formativi
Saper riconoscere,
valutare criticamente e sviluppare le politiche di global marketing adottate
dalle imprese in un contesto globale.
Saper sviluppare un'analisi dettagliata di una specifica impresa multinazionale e del suo contesto, identificando i punti di debolezza e le opzioni strategiche, con un approccio critico, e le implicazioni sociali ed etiche delle strategie globali su diversi stakeholders.

Il corso è strutturato in due moduli erogati in sequenza:
1) Global Marketing (6 CFU): Prof. P. Matthyssens (4 cfu) – Prof. E. Arrigo (2 cfu)
2) Global Strategy (6 CFU): Prof. S. Albers (3 cfu) – Prof. F. Capo (3 cfu)
Il primo modulo (Global Marketing) intende fornire agli studenti gli strumenti analitici per comprendere le strategie di marketing sviluppate dalle imprese in un contesto globale.
Il secondo modulo (Global Strategy) ha l'obiettivo di far comprendere agli studenti come le imprese acquisiscano e sostengano vantaggio competitivo in un contesto globale.

Modalità di verifica dell'apprendimento
Durante
l'emergenza Covid-19, gli esami saranno svolti online in video-conferenza,
tramite Webex.
Trattandosi di insegnamento (International Business, 12 cfu), la prova d’esame in ogni appello di esame includerà sia la prova di Global Marketing (6 cfu) che quella di Global Strategy (6 cfu). Il mancato superamento dell’accertamento di uno dei due moduli comporterà un esito negativo della prova d’esame.

Learning objectives
Recognize, critically assess, and develop global marketing policies in a global context.
Be able to make a thorough analysis of a specific multinational organisation and its specific context, identify weaknesses and specific strategic options with a critical mindset and learn the social and ethical implications of global strategies and the impact that doing business abroad may have on several stakeholders.

Contents
The course is structured in two modules :
1) Global Marketing (6 CFU): Prof. P. Matthyssens (4 cfu) – Prof. E. Arrigo (2 cfu)
2) Global Strategy (6 CFU): Prof. S. Albers (3 cfu) – Prof. F. Capo (3 cfu)
The first module (Global Marketing) offers an overview of global marketing strategies, by providing students with analytical tools needed to understand marketing strategies in a global context.
The second module (Global Strategy) provides an understanding of how firms gain and sustain competitive advantage in a global setting by examining the strategic, organizational, and managerial challenges faced by companies operating in today’s international markets.

Assessment methods

The exam includes both the modules of Global Marketing (6 credits) and Global Strategy (6 credits). The final mark will derive from the average of the marks obtained in the two modules themselves.
