Course Syllabus
Aims

Knowledge of the mechanisms, the causes and the clinical presentations of acute and chronic kidney injury and of the most common syndromes associated with renal diseases.

Knowledge of the role of the company doctor and of the main aspects of the medical surveillance. Knowledge of occupational risks in healthcare settings and pregnant women.

Understanding the basis and clinical behavior of the most common diseases of the urinary tract (lower urinary tract syndrome, kidney and ureteral stones) and of the most important urogenital cancer.

Knowledge of theoretical models for the study of renal function and the techniques used for the replacement of renal function

Fundamental knowledge of Public Health (vaccination practice, health care requirements to driving licence and firearms licence; application of legal requirements for civil invalidity; assessment and ascertainment of death and current legislation).
