Candidates with an academic qualification obtained abroad must apply through procedure highlighted in this file

In order to enroll in the Master's Degree program, an interview is held to evaluate basic chemical knowledge (analytical, organic, inorganic, physical). The topics and the reference texts to complete the preparation, for students who come from non-chemical three-year degrees, are suggested in this document: [Reference texts].

During the interview the knowledge regarding:
-) general chemistry (atomic structure and theory of chemical bonding, classes of chemical reactions: acid-base equilibria, redox reactions, states of aggregation of matter, principles of electrochemistry, stoichiometric calculations);
-) organic chemistry (functional groups, reactivity, reaction mechanisms), inorganic chemistry (element chemistry, inorganic compounds and coordination compounds);
-) physical chemistry (equilibrium thermodynamics, chemical kinetics, basis of quantum mechanics);
-) analytical chemistry (theoretical basis of chemical analysis and instrumental analytical techniques).

The outcome of the assessment interview can be:
    positive, for which it is possible to matriculate;
    negative, so it is not possible to enroll.
In the event of a negative outcome, the possibility of attending single courses to complete curriculum supplements is suggested. The candidate must then take the additional exams of the suggested courses before being able to resubmit an application for admission
